A SELL-OUT crowd of 148,000 enjoyed the 17th Goodwood Revival Meeting on the weekend of September 12-14 at the Goodwood Motor Circuit. The on-track highlights included the annual RAC TT Celebration race for early-1960s GT cars, comprising a £150 million field that included Jaguar E-types, Aston Martin Project cars and even a Bizzarini. The 60th anniversary of the Jaguar D-Type was marked with a 30-car parade plus the Lavant Cup race exclusively for examples of the Le Mans-winning British sportscar, while the Maserati 250F also turned 60 with variants of the Italian grand prix car making up two thirds of the Richmond Trophy field for front-engined F1 machinery of the late 1950s.

Damon Hill’s bid to close P1 'unsuccessful'

The former F1 world champion is pursuing money owed to him and issued a petition to close down P1 to pay the debt. But Hill’s co-founder of P1 International, and current chief executive officer, Michael Breen told CAR Online that the petition to wind up his business had been unsuccessful.

Audi will being production of the Audi A1 in October And now comes confirmation that Audi is finally going to kick off production of the A1 in October. The head of Audi’s Brussels plant – Alfons Dintner – has confirmed that the Audi A1 will start production in October after a five week shutdown in August to gear the Brussels plant up for production of the new A1. The new Audi A1 will start to hit European Showrooms in the early part of 2010.
